adidas London Half Marathon, Silverstone - 18/03/07
Let the story be told - Bushfield Joggers' beat Nigel Mansell in a race at Silverstone! OK, this was a half marathon, and Nigel's first, but what the heck - it's the result that matters! Having said that, what a race! The Silverstone circuit is not renowed for protection from the elements - it is somewhat exposed - so gale force winds and 2 hail storms do not make for ideal conditions. 3 Bushies took part, and their results are as follows:
Tom (Triple T) Johnson 01:50:34 (1971), Mandy Cook 02:03:47 (3622),
Alan Miles 02:04:31 (3689) - 6103 finishers

Six Bushies tackled this extremely tough and demanding race. Thankfully the weather was kind to them, although the hills were not! Five completed the course. Bourne Frostbite - 04/02/07
Some love this course, others hate it - it didn't matter today as 23 senior Club members and 7 juniors tackled the hills, the mud, and the glorious weather.
